Teaching
Teaching
As a theoretical biologist, a central goal of my teaching is to make theoretical research and quantitative methods in biology broadly accessible to students. At the same time, I find it rewarding to teach a wide range of courses, from quantitatively focused, skills-based classes to more conceptual courses spanning diverse topics in evolutionary biology. I continually work to incorporate active learning strategies that increase student engagement and to improve my ability to account for student diversity across multiple dimensions, including neurodiversity and cultural background.
